The extension code is released under the GNU GPLv3 software license. Users can read, audit, modify, and contribute to the extension code under that license.
Curated blocklist data and FitShield branding may have separate licenses. Check the repository license files for the exact terms before reusing data, logos, names, or other brand assets.

FitShield uses local extension settings and browser blocking rules to redirect covered ordering domains to a pause page. You can block built-in delivery sites, fast-food sites, custom domains, countries, and food categories. You can also turn off individual entries when a site should be allowed through. The pause page can also show local recipe suggestions chosen from bundled recipe data, explain which rule caused the block, and let you count a recipe swap toward local calories-avoided stats.

FitShield stores extension settings in your browser's local extension storage. This includes whether the blocker is enabled, delivery and fast-food blocklist choices, disabled built-in site choices, whitelist-style exception choices, custom blocklist entries, disabled custom entries, country and category selections, quick-access country and category preferences, timer duration, temporary per-site unlock expiry times, schedule settings, pass duration, theme choices, UI language preference, average meal cost and calorie settings, aggregate blocked-visit counts, aggregate recipe-choice and calories-avoided counts, recipe favorites, dashboard card order, onboarding state, last-seen version, and related display preferences.
FitShield itself does not export those settings to a FitShield server. They remain in the browser profile unless your browser, operating system, backup tool, or another extension copies that local data outside FitShield.
Backup and restore is a local file workflow. If you export a backup, your browser downloads a JSON file for you. If you import one, FitShield reads the file you select. The FitShield website does not receive that file.
The recipe catalog and blocklists ship with the extension. Recipe suggestions are selected locally from bundled tags and do not require a remote recommendation service. The ambient visual background, welcome flow, and What's New screen also run from extension files.
FitShield 不出售你的数据
FitShield is not built to sell user data, collect browsing history for marketing, run ad tracking, or send your blocklist choices to a FitShield server. The extension does not need invasive tracking to work: the browser applies local blocking rules and redirects matched pages to the local warning screen, where bundled recipes and localized text can render from extension files.
The stats panel uses aggregate counters, such as blocked visits, estimated money saved, calories avoided, and recipes chosen. It is not designed to store a browsing-history log, a list of blocked URLs, or a record of which exact recipe you chose for which blocked site.
You should not have to take this on vibes. The extension is open source, so you can inspect the repository and hold the project to that standard.

Browser extensions need permissions to do useful work. FitShield asks for permissions tied to saving settings, applying blocking rules, and showing the blocker experience. The extension's browser store data collection declaration is none.

FitShield does not intentionally load third-party analytics, ad trackers, tracking widgets, or donation widgets on this static website. The Donate page links to Buy Me a Coffee only when you choose to click it.
